CTC reveals New General Sales Agent for Mexico in 2015.

Vancouver, BC, Oct. 29, 2014:  The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) is pleased to announce it has awarded the contract as the organization’s General Sales Agent (GSA) for Mexico to Travel Studio.Travel Studio secured this important role for the CTC through an open and competitive contracting process, which was conducted this past summer.

The GSA solution has been successfully proven for the CTC in Brazil, India, France, Australia and Germany, where marketplaces are well suited to this model.  A new GSA was also recently announced for South Korea. The move to GSAs supports CTC’s ongoing commitment to flexibility and scalability in the marketplace.

The contract takes effect January 1, 2015.  Siobhan Chretien, CTC’s Regional Managing Director, will be the project authority.

“Mexico is an extremely important market for our tourism industry and we’re confident that Travel Studio will deliver great results for CTC and for our partners,” says Greg Klassen, CTC President and CEO (Interim). “As we celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations with Mexico, we know that travel deepens the bond between nations, opening up new horizons for investment, education and collaboration. We welcome Travel Studio on board to help us create even more demand for Canada as the preferred destination over all others.”
