Vancouver, BC, April 14, 2010– Tour Media, a trade journal in South Korea has named the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) as the best international tourism organization operating in South Korea.
Tour Media asked the South Korean travel trade to evaluate destination and national tourism organizations for contribution and support to the travel industry and CTC was reviewed as the business partner of choice.
“Canada’s tourism brand has tremendous potential following 2010 Winter Games, and our goal is to convert heightened interest in Canada to travel bookings. CTC’s team in South Korea is working closely with operators to make that happen, offering superior service and expertise. It’s great that they are getting this recognition,” says Michele McKenzie, President and CEO of CTC.
Tour Media’s survey was distributed to 15 major tour operators at the end of March 2010, assessing 50 international tourism organizations. Respondents praised CTC for strong management and going to the extra mile to follow up and ensure results.
CTC earned top spot over Hong Kong and Hawaii, as well as noteworthy competitors like New Zealand, Australia, and France.
