VANCOUVER, BC, Nov. 25, 2010-The CTC is pleased to announce its appointment of DC & Associates Worldwide Pty. Ltd. as General Sales Agency (GSA) for Australia.
DC & Associates Worldwide will be responsible for travel trade sales development and media relations for the CTC, providing in market representation for Australia from its offices in Sydney.
DC & Associates Worldwide won their contract through an open competition that was conducted during autumn 2010 in response to the closure of the CTC's wholly owned office in Australia, scheduled for December 2010.
"The calibre of proposals was outstanding and a testament to the appeal of the Canada brand. We are delighted that our work in the important Australia market will have a smooth transition with the expert assistance of DC & Associates Worldwide" said Michele McKenzie, President and CEO, CTC.
The appointment will take effect from mid December 2010, with CTC management assistance provided by Rupert Peters, Regional Managing Director, from the CTC's new regional hub office in London.
