You’ve worked in a marketing environment for at least 5 years and have experience delivering innovative, integrated campaigns across multiple channels. You are a dynamic and compelling communicator who can manage multiple projects at once while ensuring that tight deadlines are met in a high pressure environment. Strategy-savvy, you’ll provide global support and you’ll ensure the programs, partnerships, agencies and suppliers deliver results. Your strong interpersonal skills allow you to build and maintain partnerships both internally and within the tourism industry. Position Title: Marketing Specialist

Language Requirements: English Essential

Duties: Reporting to the Global Marketing Manager (the “Manager”) the incumbent is the key liaison to the industry partners invested in the international campaign activities. The role supports the development, implementation and evaluation of the integrated multi-channel marketing and sales programs for the international market programs and activities by coordinating efforts with the team and partners.  Key duties include marketing planning and coordination support for trade/sales initiatives and supporting content marketing activities aligned with the strategy, reviewing project dashboards as well as coordinating key projects as directed by the Manager. 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Degree from a recognized university in marketing, communications or business administration, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Experience: When applying, the candidate must clearly demonstrate in writing how they meet the following experience criteria:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in delivering marketing campaigns to consumers and/or travel trade.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience in the tourism industry is an asset.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of various software packages including MS Office Suite (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of marketing, promotions and media buying practices.
  • Understanding of content marketing and communication channels.
  • Knowledge of agency models for marketing, branding, strategy, design, media buying and performance measurement.
  • Knowledge of project management and planning including financial and administrative management.
  • Knowledge of the latest marketing and technology trends an asset.
  • Knowledge of the travel industry and marketing in global markets is an asset.

Abilities: 

  • Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills, often working under pressure and across different time zones.
  • Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships within the industry.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, dealing with cultural nuances and multiple tasks requiring strong organizational and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to commit and meet or exceed deadlines.

Security: A Reliability Status or a Security Clearance may be required.
