We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our US Leisure Market team.

Experienced in delivering innovative digital marketing campaigns, you will be a vital member of the team leading a campaign to promote Canada as a premier tourism destination in the U.S. You’ll take on planning and coordination of the digital marketing elements of the program, working closely with the US Leisure Market team, our partners and our agencies.

Position Title: Digital Marketing Specialist, US Leisure Market

Language Requirements: English essential

Duties: Reporting to the Executive Director, US Leisure Market (the “Manager”) the incumbent is the key liaison with Destination Canada’s (“DC”) agencies and industry partners invested in the US campaign activities. The role supports the development, implementation and evaluation of the digital marketing components of the US leisure travel marketing programs and activities by coordinating efforts with the team, agencies and partners. Key duties include digital marketing planning, implementation, analysis and optimization aligned with the strategy, creating KPI, dashboards as well as coordinating key projects as directed by the Manager. 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Degree from a recognized university in digital marketing, analytics, communications or business administration, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
Experience: When applying, the candidate must clearly demonstrate in writing how they meet the following experience criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital analytics
  • Experience in creating and/or measuring KPIs
  • Experience in delivering digital paid media campaigns
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in the tourism industry is an asset

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of various software packages including MS Office Suite (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of digital analytic tools, particularly Google Analytics
  • Knowledge of marketing, promotions and media buying practices
  • Understanding of content marketing
  • Knowledge of agency models for marketing, branding, strategy, design ,media buying, programmatic remarketing/optimization and performance measurement
  • Knowledge of project management and planning including financial and administrative management
  • Knowledge of the latest digital marketing and technology trends an asset
  • Knowledge of the travel industry in global markets, particularly the US, is an asset
