Vancouver, BC, beckons attendees for CTC’s top international marketplace in May 2014.
The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) marshals RVC, Canada’s jewel in the crown for the domestic and international travel industry. More than 1,500 delegates are expected to network and seal deals at the Vancouver Convention Centre next spring. RVC will be the city’s second major event of the year, coming soon after the sold-out TED Conference in March.
What’s RVC’s secret sauce? The marketplace delivers a rapid and efficient way for international buyers, who operate on tight budgets and timelines, to get face time with hundreds of leading Canadian tourism businesses, not least members of CTC’s Canadian Signature Experiences (CSE) collection. The marketplace showcases the latest and greatest products and packages, as well as providing many opportunities for networking and building lasting business relationships.
RVC is also a must-have for international travel-trade media, who see it as the perfect vehicle to get the skinny on Canada’s tourism industry and to meet its movers and shakers in person.
“Tourism is a powerful economic engine and Rendez-vous Canada always provides our industry with a surge of momentum thanks to growth opportunities for Canadian businesses,” says Jon Mamela, CTC vice-president, International. “We remain focused on delivering top value to delegates in Vancouver next year by exposing high-end international buyers to the magnificent range of experiences Canada has to offer.”
