Sign up now for CTC’s premier international marketplace at Niagara Falls next May.
Early birds get the best worms: the ribbon has been cut and registration for sellers is now open for Rendez-vous Canada (RVC), which will take place in the spring sunshine in Niagara Falls, ON, May 26-29, 2015. International buyers will get the opportunity to sign up the week beginning Dec. 1.
RVC is the major marketplace organized each year by the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC). It’s a must-attend event for the Canadian tourism industry that draws hundreds of international delegates from CTC’s markets and beyond. RVC 2015 will take place in one of Canada’s most iconic settings, within sight and sound of Niagara Falls, a huge draw for international tourists.
RVC 2014 in Vancouver, BC, was a resounding success. More than 1,600 tourism-industry professionals from 28 countries, including a record 475 international buyers, flocked to the Vancouver Convention Centre, taking part in more than 24,000 one-to-one appointments.
The annual marketplace is a top trade platform for Canadian tourism organizations to meet prospective buyers, build relationships, launch new products and services and share market insights. With timelines and budget still streamlined, having so many businesses under one roof offers real efficiency.
RVC is popular, too, with members of CTC’s Canadian Signature Experiences (CSE) collection: 78 made the journey to Vancouver and Niagara Falls should also draw a substantial turnout.
Domestic and international travel-trade media are discovering the significance of RVC as well. It enables them to hook up directly with Canadian small- and medium-size businesses and to share their stories.
“Rendez-vous Canada provides terrific exposure for our country, which results in increased international awareness and future business,” says Jon Mamela, CTC Chief Marketing Officer. “It’s Niagara Falls’ debut RVC and we’re confident that it will build on the great momentum that is propelling our industry forward.”
