CTC awards luncheon in New York City highlights the finest travel journalism in broadcast, online and written media.
Storytellers play a key part in the fabric of society. Those with the most vivid adventures capture eager audiences; the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) is delighted to celebrate the best Canadian chroniclers at the annual Northern Lights awards luncheon at Canada Media Marketplace.
This year’s event took place April 16 at the fabled Waldorf Astoria Hotel, New York City, NY. One of the highlights at the luncheon, hosted by Travel Alberta, was a keynote speech by actor, writer and director Andrew McCarthy.
The Missouri School of Journalism and Associate Professor John Fennell had the tricky job of sifting through hundreds of entries for the 16th Northern Lights Awards. Roger Williams, Image Media Farm president, judged the broadcast and online video categories.
