Canada wears its heart on its sleeve in Mexico.

CTC and travel-industry partners lead major sales promotion to win over Mexican consumers.

The Canadian Tourism Commission(CTC) has been leading a passion play for Mexican consumers this week. “Canada ♥ Mexico” (Canada ♥ Mexico Sale) is taking place across this key CTC international market from May 28 to June 3, with loads of special deals to entice travellers to come to Canada.

Research shows that Mexicans love deals and events. So this week-long promotion, coming just days after major corporations across Mexico handed out their annual bonuses, is designed to hit the sweet spot for travellers.

CTC teamed up with the Canadian travel industry to pull together a collection of value-added tourism products. Although these are only on offer this week, the trips can be taken anytime over the next few months.

All the offers have been collated into a catalogue, which has been distributed to front-line staff at major travel agents and tour operators. They are also being shown in the travel offers section of CTC’s consumer website in Mexico. Consumers can go straight there via www.canadaamaamexico.com/.

The promotion has been given wide exposure by ads running on radio, online and in print. CTC’s principal partners for the promotion week are Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation and Tourisme Québec.
