CTC opens new application period for Canadian tourism businesses to join its innovative program.
Keyboards at the ready: the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) has cut the ribbon on a new application process for home-grown tourism businesses to join our Canadian Signature Experiences Collection (CSE). Don’t delay in applying: the closing date for this round is April 30, 2013.
The door is open for all qualified tourism businesses to apply. This time, however, those businesses that sell primarily through travel-trade channels will be given priority access to the front of the queue, along with urban, culinary and cultural businesses. We are targeting a limit of just 25 new Canadian Signature Experiences in 2013, so competition will be tougher than ever.
To help get you started, head for the Canadian Signature Experiences Collection section of our corporate website. There you’ll find FAQs, a backgrounder on the CSE program, a list of current members, case studies featuring current members and the application process itself. A short pre-qualifying quiz will determine straightaway if your business meets the basic requirements of the program.

We give CSE members international exposure in Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, South Korea and the UK. We work with the travel trade and travel media in these markets to integrate members into trade development, social media and consumer-direct marketing initiatives. Other benefits of becoming a CSE member include potential increased sales, peer recognition, cross-promotional opportunities with other members and improved business relationships with the travel trade.
