Olga Ilich

Chairperson of the Board of Directors

Olga Ilich is a partner in Performance Builders Ltd., a general building contractor that specializes in wood and low-rise concrete construction.  Through a holding company, Suncor Development Corporation, Ms. Ilich also partners with developers specializing in residential and commercial development projects in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia and California.

In 2012, Ms. Ilich was the Co-Chair of the City of Vancouver's Task Force on Affordable Housing.  Ms. Ilich was also named one of the Top 20 Most Influential People in Residential Construction.  

In 2009 Ms. Ilich was chosen as one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award winner.She received this recognition after a 30 year career at senior levels in both business and government.

In 2005 she was elected as a member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia and appointed to Cabinet as the Minister of Tourism, Sport, and the Arts.  In 2006 she was appointed Minister of Labour and Citizens’ Services.  In 2009 Ms. Ilich declined to run in the provincial election in order to return to business. 

Prior to entering politics, Ms. Ilich had a successful career in the real estate development and construction sector.  She was Executive Vice-President of Progressive Construction Ltd., and later President of Suncor Developments Ltd., a company that built single-family subdivisions, multi-family projects, and commercial shopping centres throughout British Columbia. 

Ms. Ilich is a member of the Board of Directors of Discovery Parks Ltd., and was previously a Director on the Board of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra,  Director of the Vancouver International Airport Authority;  Director of UBC Properties Investment Ltd.; President and Director of the Urban Development Institute, Pacific Region; and Chair of the BC Assessment Authority. She was a member of the Federal Business Development Bank’s Regional Advisory Committee; Chair of the City of Richmond Advisory Planning Commission; Member of the City of Surrey’s Economic Development Committee; and a Director of St. George’s School.

Ms. Ilich has a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Arts, and a Bachelor of Arts degree.
