Emmanuelle Legault is one of a new breed of marketers who see opportunities within the challenges of a rapidly evolving industry where the only constant is change. She brings more than 15 years’ experience in developing B2C and B2B digital solutions, marketing and communications to Destination Canada (DC).
Prior to joining DC, Emmanuelle worked at Tourisme Montréal as Vice President of Marketing and Director of Communications. She spent several years elaborating and rolling out earned, owned and paid media strategies to build awareness of the Montréal tourism brand in 12 international markets, while at the same time leading the Digital and Communications Strategies, Media and Leisure Markets, Membership and Partnership, IT and Analytics sectors.
This work included a 100% web-based advertising and leisure campaign in 2009, at that time a first for a Canadian convention and visitor bureau. Emmanuelle has kept pace with the waves of technological change that have transformed the travel and tourism industries, continuously reimagining the possibilities and turning disruptive shifts in consumer behaviour into competitive advantages for brand-building and market development.
In 2012, she launched a three-year strategy to implement an organization-wide adoption of social media, with the goal of making every employee, partner and member a brand ambassador for the destination. Emmanuelle also led a series of initiatives to leverage social media, content marketing and cutting-edge promotional campaigns to position Tourisme Montréal as one of the most innovative brands in destination marketing.
Before embarking on her tourism journey, Emmanuelle worked for major Canadian organizations such as National Bank Securities and Metro (a Quebec- and Ontario-based grocer), as well as Diesel (now Sid Lee), an international agency where she worked on different brands, such as Schering, Aldo, belairdirect, The Movie Network and more.
Emmanuelle holds a Certificate in Advertising from l’Université de Montréal, a Certificate in Marketing from l’École des hautes études commerciales de Montréal and a Certificate in Communications from l’Université du Québec à Montréal.
